Disposition: At first blush, Zoya may come across as a sharp-tongued cactus, better left to her own devices than bothered by anyone else. Many people back home whisper about how terrifying she is, and crumble under her withering gaze. This is the favored mask she has built for herself, in search of power, and in efforts to never feel small or helpless again, as she once did as a child. If one takes the time to get to know her, some of those edges may soften just slightly, but it is not an easy task nor for the thin-skinned or light-hearted. The particularly committed will eventually unveil a deeply caring heart hiding under the tough-as-nails exterior.
Zoya's most shining trait is her loyalty: to her people, to her King, to her country, it's one of the thickest and deepest-running threads within the very core of her being. Her trust is not easily gained, but once it is, any alliance made with her is steel-strong and hard to break. However, should that be violated, she does not react kindly or well to betrayal and those who cross her in such a way will live to regret gaining the ire of the stormwitch.
She has a sharp wit and intelligence that played its part in rise through the ranks of the Second Army, as The Darkling's favored soldier. In part, it is his betrayal that lead her to eventually to being Commander to the Second Army, and one-third of the Grisha Triumvirate. These positions allowed for her leadership skills to shine through. She has commanded of the entire Grisha army, and has taken to training young Grisha, working to shatter the barriers between the Grisha Orders to make for a less combative learning environment than there had been under the tutelage of The Darkling.
Though her strong-will can be seen as a good thing in some cases, and certainly played its role in getting her to where she is today, Zoya has a stubborn streak a mile wide. Once her mind is set, she will dig in her heels on a topic and at times that ambition and determination can turn sharp and ruthless to gain her achievements, especially if it is in the name of the betterment of her people.
Zoya is calm and level-headed under pressure, and in some ways she thrives in the chaos, in that she is most herself during high-stakes situations. A solider through-and-through, she will always do what has to be done for the better of her people, however ruthless it may seem on the outside. She's also a good choice for leading the public in the middle of a panic; she can calm the masses and get them to safety, where they can be left to their fear, away from the danger.
Zoya has a very caustic nature, a mean girl with a heart of gold, if you will. This leaves her not the best company for the tender-hearted or easily upset. She does not curb the sharpness of her tongue, and can be downright ruthless with her words when she wants to be. She is shown to be prone to jealousy, as evidenced by the early days when Alina first arrives to The Little Palace and she is rude and threatening toward The Darkling's newest favored pet. Though occasionally quick to anger in the right conditions, Zoya has tamed some of her more impulsive behaviors after coming through the other side of a Civil War, and further journeys beyond with lessons taught by the Saints her people grew up worshiping.
Suitability: Synchrony will be an odd concept for her, and probably not always easily achieved due to her sharp nature. She can have a tumble with someone in the sheets easy-as-breathing if her interest is held so the physical intimacy aspect won't be an issue. However, the genuine emotional part of it will likely be harder for her since she is not a very open person, and tends to play so many of her cards close to the vest.
Mana addiction in the natives will concern her a lot and act as a call-back to the Grisha that are being subjected to jurda parem in other countries back home. She'd likely want to see if people can be safely secured from it, if at all possible if she learns about it.
The powers gained from her gembond will not bother her, they will be largely familiar in a way, given her power as a Grisha, which will be something of a comfort. On the other hand, the body transformations will be much more of a shock at this point; while she technically has the ability to shapeshift into a dragon now, she has not done it, and her hand being forced in a cycle of transformation every month will be unnerving to her to start. Given some time and adjustment to it, she just might find that she doesn't mind it so much.
She will also be enamored with the technology around Noctium because the world she comes from is quite behind in those regards, comparatively. She will probably need guides in that regard until she gets used to those aspects!
Condition upon arrival: Healthy and in one piece, physically. Heavily exhausted and weary, mentally. She will also likely spend a large part of the first stretch of adjustment stages very suspicious of basically everything/everyone. She will want to know more about what's going on, she'll be very inquisitive on the how's and why's and what the hell's.

Grisha Abilities
• As a highly skilled Squaller, Zoya can manipulate the air to nearly any whim she has; she can hurl objects through the air and guide a ship's sails, she can manipulate the air pressure to create acoustic anomalies allowing sound to travel farther and more distinctly, or mask sound altogether. She can also summon lightning, though it can be unpredictable at times.
• As the stormwitch, after she has undergone Juris' training, she has realized that the Orders of the Grisha are limiting them– "Aren't we all things?"– and has shown adept ability with the remaining Etherealki powers of controlling fire and water.
• Later she gained the Saint's abilities when she killed and already dying Juris, at his insistence so that he could become her amplifier; from him, she has gained his power, his memories, and his ability to shapeshift into a dragon. She showed passable skill with Fabrikator abilities to make the pair of black fetters made from Juris' dragon's scales to serve as her new amplifiers.
• Lack of use of her Grisha abilities would result in her growing fatigued and sickly.
